It appears the seven Dragonballs have been collected. How else could this have happened in less than 2 years? Yesterday, Z fans were ecstatic not only to see a sequel to the the well received DragonBall XenoVerse announced, but to have it come with a gift wrapped trailer too! Check it out below.
As much as I loved XenoVerse, and trust me I did, it was not without it’s fair share of bugs, glitches, and major design flaws. The character creator was great. Both the single player story as well as the Parallel Quests were well made and a delight to play, even if they did become a bit repetitive over time. Unfortunately, not all of the modes offered quite the same joyous ecstacy, I’m looking at you World Tournament mode.
Furthermore, were the litany of design decisions that dragged down what would otherwise be a perfect experience. Hopefully this iteration will have a lobby system designed this decade. XenoVerse made the experience of finding your friends a chore and had a bad habit of forgetting who they were. Every couple days I would return to find an inexplicably empty friends list. Say what you will about the Call of Duty games being tired, repetitive and uncreative they have their lobby system on point. So Bandai and Dimps, please steal it. I’d like to play “the best DBZ game since Budokai Tenkaichi 3” with my friends.
Based on the hologram in the trailer I’d say it’s a safe bet that some kind of save transfer will be present as well as a more diverse and expansive set of environments. Hopefully the
anthropomorphic pig person who wished for XV2 was specific enough to ask for a better lobby system, the ability to bring your characters over from XV, less grinding for the mentor system, the most playable characters ever available in a DBZ game, maybe some missions outside of the Z timeline, and better optimization to bring down those ever present load times. I would have wished for personal riches but this is cool too I guess.
Let us know in the comments below what you would wish for in XenoVerse 2!
