Crash Bandicoot is Back!

Sony didn’t just deliver at E3 they absolutely dominated E3! Microsoft and Nintendo proved to be no competition. With games like a new God of War, Spider-Man (created by the studio that made Ratchet n Clank) and a few other popular exclusives Sony already had all eyes on them. Sony had nothing left to prove in my eyes but then they announced an agreement with Activision which will bring Skylanders: Imaginators to the PS4 in October with an exclusive character, Crash Fucking Bandicoot! Not exactly the revival we were all hoping for but it’s Crash nonetheless. From the gameplay in the reveal trailer (below) it looks like it plays like an old school Crash Bandicoot game so I’ll call it a win.

It seemed like Sony might have been able to take the lead on that alone, but then they dropped the bomb, leaving no dispute among convention goers…

Along with Crash’s involvement in Skylanders Imaginators Sony also announced that Crash Bandicoot will be brought back to life on the PS4 with remasters of Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.

Below is a fan recorded┬ávideo live from E3 and when you are deafened by the roar of the crowd when Crash is revealed try not to cry with excitement, I for example could not hold it in but I’m weak when it comes to Crash.

No offical release date has been announced for the remasters but since Shawn Layden said Skylanders will come first in October it unfortunately sounds like we’ll have to wait until 2017 to ride a baby polar bear through crate boxes. In the game at least.
