E3 2016 is in the past now but we still find ourselves dealing with emotions we didn’t think we’d feel. As if the three Crash Bandicoot remasters weren’t enough we were also left to process the newest South Park: The Fractured But Whole trailer. We not only got a release date but we saw that there will be DLC! Something that was missing from the previous game.
South Park: The Stick of Truth was absolutely amazing! It played like you were you inside an episode of the show, cameos were ridiculously well placed, every character was present, with the exception of a few they’d get sued for using *hee heeee*. The game sold well, but not as well as a South Park die hard would of expected. Luckily for all South Park fans, Matt Stone and Trey Parker learned how to make video games and they felt comfortable making another so everybody wins! Hell, if you’re one of those ‘bandwagon’ South Park fans who didn’t buy The Stick of Truth then WEEEELLLLL…. WEEELLLLL….
Kyle’s moms a big you’re in luck my friends because The Stick of Truth comes free with purchase of The Fractured but Whole.
The Fractured But Whole is taking an awesome approach in a way that only Matt Stone and Trey Parker can pull off. The game will go after the Marvel Universe movies (as seen in the new E3 trailer above) specifically the game will center around the Captain America: Civil War premise and I can only imagine what the guys will come up with for the filler content in between the main story. The Stick of Truth had great free roaming and great character usage. Parker and Stone said that The Fractured But Whole will be even more open world which is crazy to even try and process. We even got to see a significant amount of gameplay. It appears as if we will basically get the same exact gameplay as the previous with a few tweaks here and there including environmental take downs. I’ll be honest that’s all I was looking for. Let’s hope South Games become a yearly thing now that Matt Stone and Trey Parker enjoy the doing it.
I can already picture the 2017 South Park game….
Here is a little bonus for you guys…. the 14 minute gameplay/interview from E3 with Matt Stone and Trey Parker, don’t forget to bring a towel to clean up all your ectoplasm.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is set to hit shelves on 12/6/16.
