Star Wars Battlefront 2

First of all, lets rejoice in the fact that Battlefront 2 will feature a campaign. The story will focus on a character named Iden Versio who leads an elite unit of Empire soldiers named the Inferno Squad. The campaign takes place shortly after the events of Return of the Jedi and focuses on how the remaining storm troopers and Empire leaders dealt with the fallout of the Death Star II’s destruction. Yes, the game will focus largely on the bad guys, I’m sure that a lot of people may not like this but it just opens up the door for a plethora of DLC in the future, if that’s the way EA wants to go.

EA didn’t dive into too many story specifics, other than the awesome news that the game will feature a co-op campaign mode which can be played online and via split-screen. We also heard that all the ‘film eras’ will be represented in multiplayer. As seen in the trailer, we already know that Darth Maul, Kylo Ren and Yoda are accounted for. Obviously we can assume the rest of the playable characters. All I know is if I don’t get to play as Liam Neeson, I will lose my freaking mind!

oh and if there is a God…… this little guy will be playable!

Speaking of multiplayer, it sounds like the appearance of heroes in battles is going to be a much bigger deal this time around(thankfully). The Battlefront 2 team at SCO noted that the appearance of heroes in a match will have a major impact during battle, but did not go into details regarding how the new hero system may work. But it sounds as if the Heroes will be more difficult to battle and a true pleasure to play as. One of my least favorite parts with Hero mode in the previous Battlefront was that you don’t really have a lot of time to enjoy them before they get annihilated. If I do not get to play as Liam Neeson for an extended period of time, I will lose my freaking mind!

Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be released on November 11, 2017.
